Veronica Crawford

Veronica (Vargulish) Crawford, age 97, a cherished soul known for her love for family and dedication to her community, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2024 in Greensburg, PA. She was born on June14, 1926, in Wilpen, PA. Vern touched the lives of many with her kind and unwavering faith as a devout member of St. Stephen The Protomartyr Church.
 
Throughout her life, Vern created countless beautiful memories with her loved ones. One unforgettable tradition was baking Christmas cookies when the whole family gathered together. The pinnacle of this tradition was when they baked a remarkable total of 1,400 cookies in just one day, a testament to the love and joy she brought to every occasion.
 
Vern’s impact extended beyond her family and into the hearts of all who knew her. Her warm personality and loving nature left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
Vern is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish the precious moments shared with her. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas L Crawford and a caring mother to daughter Carol Wolfe (the late Jack), John (Misun) Hutchinson, and David (Martha) Hutchinson and Veronica Susanne (Michael) Leigh.
 
As a devoted grandmother, Veronica adored Jack Wolfe, Jay Wolfe , (the late) Maureen Hutchinson, Terry Hutchinson, Tyler Hutchinson, Rachel Russo, Alexandra Leigh-Cairn and Caitrin Leigh.  Her legacy continued to bloom as she became a great grandmother to seven wonderful individuals.
 
Services to honor and celebrate Veronica's life will take place at Snyder-Green Funeral Home in Ligonier, PA. A viewing will be held on May 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. . Internment to follow at Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
 
 
Veronica Crawford's memory will live on through the love she shared with those around her and the impact she made on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly loved and will always remain in our hearts.
