Tammy Emert

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tammy Emert, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Tammy's journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on August 7, 2024, just days before she would have turned 64 on August 11, 1960. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace. 

Tammy was known for her kind and welcoming personality, always ready to greet friends and strangers alike with a warm smile. Passion for life shone through in everything she did, whether enjoying a cup of coffee on her porch with her husband, strolling along the beach collecting seashells, or getting lost in the pages of a good book, or just sitting on the porch either watching the sun rise or sunset or her granddaughters riding their horses in the field. Her love for these simple pleasures reflected her appreciation for the beauty in everyday moments.

 A woman of many talents, Tammy dedicated a significant part of her life to being supportive of her daughter and granddaughters' involvement with equine sports and most recently the Somerset Co 4-H Horse Leaders. Tammy's memory will forever be cherished by her family: her loving husband, Randy Emert, her devoted daughter, Mandy Emert and her husband Mike Keslar, and her adored granddaughters, Dakota and Cheyanne. She also leaves behind her brothers, Bill (Young) Hoffer, Randy (Roberta) Baker, Jr. (Toni) Baker and Val (Jody) Shaffer; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. To each of them, she was not only a sister, a mother, or a grandmother but a beacon of light and strength.

 In honoring Tammy's life, a series of services will be held at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home 402 E. Church St. Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Two viewings will take place on August 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day, August 13, at 11:00 AM, with visitation prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
