Rick A. Iscrupe Jr.

Rick A. Iscrupe Jr., a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 41. Born on February 3, 1983, Rick’s kind and welcoming spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Rick's passion for family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his devoted parents, MaryAnn Protz and Richard A.(Nancy) Iscrupe Sr., who instilled in him the values of love and community. He cherished his role as a doting father to Olivia Iscrupe and Richard A. Iscrupe III, and took immense pride in each precious moment shared with them. His sister, Leah (Ryan) Sheppard, and brother, Tyler Protz, fondly remember the laughter and the memories they created together, holding onto these beautiful times in their hearts. Richard was also a loving grandson to MaryAnne Moore, and he found great joy in being an uncle to his three nephews, Isaac, Lincoln, and Lennon, with whom he shared his spirited enthusiasm for life. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 

A member of Ligonier Lodge F&AM #331, Rick nurtured friendships within his community, always welcoming others and lending a helping hand. He enjoyed coaching youth soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball—what he considered some of his proudest accomplishments. Through his dedication, he inspired countless young athletes, fostering a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.

A memorial service will be held in Rick's honor on January 26, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church at 313 N Ligonier St, Derry, PA 15627. The service will begin at 2:00 PM, with family and friends gathering to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who shone brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. As we remember Rick A. Iscrupe Jr., we carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, humor and warmth in our lives. His spirit will forever remain among us, a guiding light in times of darkness.
