Patrick Keith Kenney

Patrick passed away at his home in Ligonier at the age of 46. He was born in Panorama City, California on July 22, 1978. While he lived in San Jose, he was an active competitive swimmer and Little League Baseball player. However, while there he was introduced to music through a school program taught by the head percussionist for the San Francisco Symphony. He began taking both piano and drum lessons. After moving to Southern California, he became a member of the Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps which traveled nationally competing in the Drum Corps International program. Following high school, he chose to follow his love of music and enrolled in the music school at the University of North Texas. While there, as a freshman, he joined the college Drum Line which went on to win its 10th straight national championship. After graduating he performed for numerous theater groups in California.

After moving with his family to Ligonier he began working in the mental health field. First as a peer specialist and then a certified counselor. To improve his knowledge in this field he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology. He most recently was working with those suffering severe Autism.

He is survived by his father and stepmother Thomas and Suzanne Kenney of Ligonier, Brother and Sister-in-law Christopher and Kelli Kenney of Chandler AZ, aunts Sandy Feld, Susan Pincus, aunt and uncle Susie and Randy Rawson and nieces Samantha and Madison Kenney.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Barbara Jo (Keith) Kenney, grandparents Thomas (Bud) and Ethel Fern Kenney, Wayne and Evelyn (Keska) Keith.

A memorial service will be held at the Snyder Green Funeral on Thursday February 6th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM Following the service a reception will be held at the home of Thomas and Suzanne Kenney.
