Margaret Duvall

Margaret (Maggie) Duvall of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, formerly of Perry Hall, Maryland passed

away peacefully on January 11, 2025. Maggie who was a cherished mother, grandmother,

great-grandmother, sister and friend was born on April 24, 1945 in Dublin, Ireland. Maggie

moved to the United States as a young woman and made it her home. She was a successful

business woman and for the past 25 years enjoyed traveling with her partner, Bob Hansen.

Maggie is survived by her devoted family including her children, Michele (Mick) Thompson, Tim

Duvall, and Nicole (Ron) Kurpiel. Her legacy also continues through her grandchildren, Brett,

Bryce, Joseph, Jemima, Gabrielle, Lauren, Trevor and Andrea and her great-grandchildren,

Oliver, Roman and Violet. She is also survived by her beloved companion Bob Hansen and her

brother Raymond Hanlon. Maggie was pre-deceased by her siblings, Brendan Hanlon, Dolores

Walton, Sylvia Hise and Terry Hanlon.

A visitation to honor Maggie will be held on January 20, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Snyder Green

Funeral Home located at 402 E. Church Street, Ligonier, PA. Holy Mass in celebration of her life

will take place on January 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church 342 W.

Main Street, Ligonier, PA 15658.

Memorial donations can be made in Maggie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at

www.alz.org. The family would like to thank the special nurses and aides at Bethlen Home for

taking great care of Maggie during her stay.
