Jane Welshonse Moyer
March 2, 1930 - October 16, 2021
Jane Welshonse Moyer, 91, of St Clairsville, OH, formerly of Johnstown, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born March 2, 1930 in Ligonier, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Welshonse. She was a member of the Westmont Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star Lodge #221 for over 60 years. She graduated from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital as an RN in 1952, and worked for Conemaugh Hospital until she became a mother in 1956. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling in the US and abroad with her husband, Hank, who she was married to for 65 years. She loved sewing and singing in the church choir and playing hand bells. She also loved playing cards with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Billy, and her husband Henry on March 12, 2018. She is survived by her four children, William Moyer of Colorado Springs, Daniel Moyer (Twila) of St. Clairsville, OH, James Moyer (Debbie) of Champaign, IL, and Linda Foerster (Ray) of Ruthven, IA; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer White (Seth), Jessica Doyle (Bo) and their mother Mary Ann Moyer all of Marietta, OH, Rebyka Watson (Paul) of Moweaqua, IL, TJ Moyer (Nicole) of Mechanicsville, VA, Sarah Bryk (Vince), of Manassas, VA, Victoria Nielsen (Tanner) of Royal IA, Raymie Foerster (Mollie) of Milford, IA, Nathan Foerster of Ruthven, IA, Jaime Raffinengo (Leo) of Wichita, KS, Erik Schoeppner (Heather) of Ketchikan, AK, and Robbie Schoeppner (Angelica) of Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren Audrey, Olivia and Alison White, and Benjamin and Madison Doyle, all of Marietta, OH, Christian, Max, Alex and Evan Raffinengo of Wichita, KS, Hannah Watson of Moweaqua, IL, and Carter Bryk of Manassas, VA. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 21st at the SNYDER-GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., 402 East Church Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, October 22nd in the Westmont Presbyterian Church, 601 Luzerne St, Johnstown, PA 15905, with the Rev. Ben Nti officiating.
