Gladys Marie Lenhart, aged 89, died Tuesday Feb. 4, 2025, at Bethlen Home in Ligonier, PA. She was born Oct. 23, 1935, to Harry W. Lenhart and Florence Stahl Lenhart, in Cook Township Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; her brother, Paul C. Lenhart and his wife Betty of Latrobe; a brother-in-law, Norman Kemerer of Jeannette; and a nephew, Daniel J. Carns of Rector, PA. She is survived by her sister Thelma J. Kemerer of Jeannette and her son, Brian Niehenke of Greensburg. Also her sister, Virginia L. Carns and her husband, Barry, of Rector, and their daughter, Anita Wigfield and her husband, William of Rector. Also nieces, Sharon Sweeney and Sandra and husband Ken Stas, both of Latrobe; and a nephew, Kevin Lenhart and his wife Jessica of Derry, and their families. Gladys enjoyed her gardening, flowers, sewing quilts, drawing and painting pictures, also puzzles, reading, playing music, hiking and camping, wild animals and especially her cats. She looked forward to a world without sickness and death under God and Jesus' Kingdom as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Snyder Green Funeral Home, 402 E. Church Street, Ligonier, PA. A private burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Stahlstown. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to send a special thank you to all of Gladys' Bethlen Home family and caregivers.
