Jean Ankney

Jean Ankney, age 70, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2023. Beloved sister of Mary Joyce (Late Robert) Weimer of Derry, Janice Marie (David) Schmidt of North Hills Pittsburgh, Robin (Edward) Hilbert of Wickenberg, AZ, Rich ard (Doris) Ankney of Ely, NV and Deborah (Fred) Carrer of Aquashicola, PA. Cherished Aunt and grand-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Dorla (Pyle) Ankney. Survived by her wonderful dog Peaches. Jean was a proud and active member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Latrobe, PA. Jean was an exceptional artist and jewelry designer. She framed many of her beautiful paintings. Jean also loved to quilt and gave many friends baby blankets. She also grew wild flowers in her backyard. Friends received on Sunday, 15th of January, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home Inc. 402 E. Church St. Ligonier PA 15658 724-238-261. A private service will be held on Monday January, 16th 2023 at 12:00 Noon. Interment to follow in the Snowball Cemetery.
