Janet Gearhart

Agnes "Janet" Gearhart, 72 of Acme passed away Tuesday, April 18 in her home. Born June 27, 1950, Janet was raised in Ligonier, daughter of the late Glenn and Grace Kinsey. She graduated from Ligonier Valley High School and spent over 20 years working for the Westmoreland County Courthouse. She enjoyed reading books, and playing bluegrass and celtic music. She also loved to cook and spending time with her family. 

 

Janet is survived by her husband Harold Gearhart of Acme. Children include John Brant and fiance Alexis Metros of Ligonier, Jason Brant of Ligonier, Stepchildren Sarah Kern and husband Jerimia of Johnstown, and Hannah Evan and husband Joseph of Gettysburg. Grandchildren include Sayde, Myles, Jamison, and William and Adara Brant. Step grandchildren include Isabella, Rebecca, and Kristofer Kern, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Harold Kinsey and wife Daneen of Ligonier. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother Willis Kinsey and his wife Joanie, sister Margerie Laughrey and her husband Rob. 

 

Friends and family will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home Inc. 402 E. Church St. Ligonier Pa 15658 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 A.M.
